Italian Ziti Medley
Ingredients
- 12 lb Italian sausage sliced into coins
- 12 c butter or margarine
- 1 c sliced mushrooms
- 1 c green pepper strips
- 13 c all-purpose flour
- 2 14 c milk
- 2 c shredded Cheddar cheese
- 12 c grated Parmesan
- 12 tsp pepper
- 3 c cut ziti cooked
- 13 c chopped onion may substitute onion powder 1 tsp
Directions
- In 4-quart saucepan brown sausage
- Remove from pan and drain
- Melt butter and cook mushrooms onion and pepper strips until tender but not brown
- Blend flour into vegetable mixture Gradually stir in milk
- Cook stirring constantly over medium-low heat until boil
- Boil 1 minute
- Blend in 1 12-cup Cheddar Parmesan and pepper until cheeses are melted and mixture is smooth
- Combine ziti sausage and vegetablecheese mixture Pour into buttered 2-quart casserole
- Sprinkle remaining 12 cup Cheddar on top
- Bake covered at 350 for 30 minutes or bubbly
