Japanese Fruit Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 c Crisco
  • 2 c sugar
  • 3 c flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 c milk
  • 4 to 6 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • 12 jar fruit mix
  • 12 c chopped pecans
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp allspice
  • 1 Tbsp cloves
  • 12 c raisins

Directions

  1. Cream Crisco and sugar
  2. Sift flour and add salt and baking powder
  3. Separate eggs
  4. Add yolks to sugar and Crisco
  5. Add milk flour beaten egg whites and vanilla
  6. Separate mix
  7. Add to 12 of batter fruit mix pecans raisins and spices
  8. You will have 2 plain layers and 2 fruit layers
  9. Use filling
