JayS Chili
Ingredients
- 2 onions chopped
- 1 green pepper chopped
- 1 celery chopped
- 2 cloves chopped
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 4 lb ground beef
- 2 14 12 oz cans stewed tomatoes undrained
- salt
- 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 6 oz can tomato paste
- 14 c green chili salsa
- 34 c chili powder
- 1 4 oz can diced green chilies
- 12 c water
Directions
- In Dutch oven saute the first 4 ingredients in hot oil or until tender
- Add meat 1 pound at a time until meat loses redness
- Drain
- Add water
- Add remaining ingredients stirring after each addition
- Simmer 2 12 hours stirring frequently Season to taste
