Jellied Beet Salad
Ingredients
- 1 lb can diced beets
- 1 3 oz pkg orange and lemon jello
- 34 tsp salt
- 1 c boiling water
- 2 Tbsp vinegar
- 12 c celery chopped or sliced thin
- 1 Tbsp horseradish
- 1 dash hot sauce
- 12 c crushed pineapple
- 1 Tbsp minced onion
Directions
- Drain beets
- Measure liquid and add enough cold water to make 34 cup
- Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water
- Add beet liquid vinegar horseradish pepper sauce and minced onion
- Chill until thick
- Fold in beets celery and pineapple
- You can mold as a sheet or in 8 individual molds
- Serves 8
