Jewish Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • 8 medium apples sliced thin
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 5 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 c flour
  • 2 14 c sugar
  • 1 c cooking oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 13 c orange juice
  • 2 12 tsp vanilla
  • 3 tsp baking powder

Directions

  1. Mix apples cinnamon and sugar
  2. Set aside
  3. Put other ingredients in large bowl and beat together until smooth
  4. Grease and flour tube pan
  5. Put layer of batter and layer of apples Continue layering end with layer of apples on top
  6. Bake at 350 about 1 12 hours or until done
  7. Test with toothpick
