Johnnycakes

Ingredients

• 1 12 c flour
• 1 12 c corn meal
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 12 tsp salt
• 12 c shortening
• 1 Tbsp sugar
• 3 eggs
• 1 c milk

Directions

1. In large bowl put flour corn meal baking powder and salt in bowl set aside
2. Beat shortening sugar and eggs beat well
3. Add the milk then the flour mixture
4. Drop a spoonful of batter onto the frying pan with a large spoon
5. Brown the cakes on both sides by turning them with the spatula
