JohnnyS Custard Pie

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 23 c sugar
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 14 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 c milk scalded
  • 1 8-inch pie shell unbaked

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350
  2. Put the eggs sugar salt nutmeg and vanilla into blender
  3. Cover and process and beat until sugar is dissolved and eggs lemon-colored
  4. Remove feeder cap and add milk Continue to process until well blended
  5. Pour into an unbaked pie shell
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes until a silver knife inserted in the custard comes out clean
