Jumbo Oat Cookies

Ingredients

• 34 c sugar
• 13 c 5 13 tsp butter or margarine
• 2 egg whites slightly beaten
• 1 tsp vanilla or almond flavor
• 2 14 c uncooked oats
• 1 c flour
• 13 c corn syrup
• 12 c nuts almonds or pecans

Directions

1. Beat sugar butter or margarine and corn syrup until fluffy Add egg whites and extract mix well
2. Gradually add combined remaining ingredients mix well
3. Drop 14 cup measure about 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet
4. Press into 3-inch circles
5. Bake 14 to 16 minutes or until light golden brown
6. Cool 1 minute remove to aluminum foil
7. Store lightly covered
8. Makes 1 dozen
