Jumbo Oat Cookies
Ingredients
- 34 c sugar
- 13 c 5 13 tsp butter or margarine
- 2 egg whites slightly beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla or almond flavor
- 2 14 c uncooked oats
- 1 c flour
- 13 c corn syrup
- 12 c nuts almonds or pecans
Directions
- Beat sugar butter or margarine and corn syrup until fluffy Add egg whites and extract mix well
- Gradually add combined remaining ingredients mix well
- Drop 14 cup measure about 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet
- Press into 3-inch circles
- Bake 14 to 16 minutes or until light golden brown
- Cool 1 minute remove to aluminum foil
- Store lightly covered
- Makes 1 dozen
