Kentucky Jam Cake
Ingredients
- 1 12 c sugar
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 c blackberry jam
- 1 34 c plain flour
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 12 tsp cloves
- 1 c oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp allspice
- 12 tsp salt
Directions
- Combine sugar oil buttermilk eggs blackberry jam and vanilla in large bowl
- Beat well on low speed
- Add combined ingredients and beat on medium speed to blend well
- Bake at 350 in 2 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans for 40 minutes or until tests done
- Cool completely and frost with Buttermilk Icing
