Kielbasa With Skillet Steamed Cabbage

Ingredients

• 2 oz bacon diced
• 5 c coarsely shredded cabbage
• 1 12 c coarsely chopped apples
• 12 c chopped onion
• 1 tsp caraway seed
• 1 tsp salt
• 14 tsp pepper
• 1 c beer
• 6 c water
• 1 lb kielbasa sausage

Directions

1. Cook bacon about 5 minutes until crisp
2. Pour off fat and add cabbage apples onion caraway salt and pepper to pot
3. Pour beer over all and toss to mix
4. Cover reduce heat to low and cook 30 minutes stirring once or twice
5. Cabbage will be wilted but will still have color
