Lady BirdS Pecan Pie

Ingredients

• 12 c butter or margarine softened
• 1 c sugar
• 1 c dark corn syrup
• 12 tsp salt
• 1 12 tsp vanilla
• 3 eggs
• 2 c pecans chopped
• 1 c pecan halves
• unbaked pie shell

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 In a large bowl combine the butter and sugar Gradually add corn syrup salt and vanilla Blend thoroughly Add eggs and gently beat Fold in pecans Pour into unbaked pie shell Place the pecan halves on top of pie for decoration
2. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until set in middle
