Lattice Jam Bars

Ingredients

  • 14 lb chopped almonds crushed is best
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 12 lb each sugar butter and flour
  • 1 lb apricot jam

Directions

  1. Mix together the almonds and sugar
  2. Blend in butter and flour
  3. Mix well
  4. Add egg yolks
  5. Roll dough to 12-inch thick Save half for cross bars
  6. Spread on cookie sheet then spread 1 pound apricot jam over dough
  7. Make cross bars by rolling out dough and cutting into strips
  8. Crisscross strips on top of jam to give lattice effect
  9. Bake in a 350
  10. oven about 30 minutes or until light brown
