Layered Ground Beef Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion sliced and divided
  • 1 c sliced celery divided
  • 1 large green pepper seeded sliced and divided
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 to 1 12 lb ground beef
  • 1 c 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 large potatoes peeled and sliced thin
  • 1 c 10 34 oz cream of celery soup

Directions

  1. In 2-quart casserole layer half the onion celery and green pepper season with salt and pepper
  2. Top with beef season with three-fourths teaspoon salt and 12 teaspoon pepper
  3. Pour on tomato sauce
  4. Top with remaining onion celery and pepper Arrange potatoes over top spread with soup
  5. Bake uncovered in preheated 350 oven for 1 to 1 12 to 2 hours or until potatoes are tender and top is lightly browned
  6. Do not stir
  7. Makes 6 servings
