Leche FlanDessert
Ingredients
- 8 egg yolks
- 1 c sugar
- 2 c fresh milk
- 1 lemon rind or vanilla for flavoring
- 34 brown sugar
Directions
- Dissolve brown sugar in 14 cup water and cook over moderate heat until the sugar browns
- Line a suitable mold with the mixture evenly and set aside
- Scald milk in double boiler for 15 minutes
- Blend the egg yolks with the sugar milk and flavoring Pour into the mold lined with caramelized sugar
- Place this in a bigger pan half filled with water and bake until mixture becomes firm
- Cool before removing from mold
