Lemon Glazed Carrots

Ingredients

  • 1 12 lb medium carrots
  • 14 tsp salt
  • boiling water
  • 14 c butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 4 thin slices lemon

Directions

  1. Wash carrots pare
  2. Place in large saucepan with salt and enough boiling water to cover
  3. Simmer covered for 15 minutes or until tender
  4. Drain
  5. Melt butter in large skillet
  6. Stir in sugar
  7. Add lemon slices and carrots cook over medium heat stirring occasionally until carrots are glazed
  8. Makes 6 servings
