Lemon Nut Cake

Ingredients

  • 7 eggs separated
  • 1 lb butter
  • 4 c plain flour
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 oz lemon extract
  • 2 slices candied pineapple
  • 14 lb red cherries
  • 14 lb green cherries
  • 1 lb nuts
  • 1 10 oz box raisins

Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar sift baking powder and flour together and add to butter mixture alternating with egg yolks Add lemon extract fruits and nuts add stiffly beaten egg whites Bake at 275 for 2 hours
