Lemon SconesFlaky Tender Biscuits With A Twist

Ingredients
- 13 c margarine or butter
- 1 34 c all-purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 2 12 tsp baking powder
- 14 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 12 c currants or raisins
- 4 to 6 Tbsp milk
- grated peel from 1 lemon
- 1 egg beaten
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400
- Combine flour sugar baking powder salt and margarine
- Cut with pastry blender until fine
- Stir in 1 egg raisins lemon peel and enough milk until dough leaves sides of bowl
