Ingredients

  • 1 pkg yeast
  • 12 c lukewarm water
  • 12 c sugar
  • 12 c shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 c boiling water
  • 1 c cold water
  • 6 c flour plain

Directions

  1. Dissolve yeast in 12 cup lukewarm water
  2. Put sugar shortening and salt in container you are making rolls in
  3. Add 1 cup boiling water to mixture
  4. Stir until dissolved
  5. Add 1 cup cold water
  6. Stir in yeast mixture
  7. Beat egg and add to mixture Add flour 1 cup at a time stirring
  8. Cover and refrigerate
