Lime Pickles

Ingredients
- 7 lb cucumbers cut in 14-inch slices
- 2 c lime
- 2 gal water
- 3 pt vinegar
- 4 lb sugar
- 1 Tbsp celery seed
- 2 Tbsp salt
- 1 Tbsp mixed pickling spice
Directions
- Mix the lime with the 2 gallons water and pour over cucumbers Let stand 24 hours
- Stir often but gently
- Stir these several times so the lime mixes with the cucumbers
- Rinse well cover with clean cold water
- Let stand for 4 hours drain well
