Louisiana Jambalaya
Ingredients
- 4 large pork chops or 6 chicken thighs can substitute wings breasts or other
- 1 lb smoked sausage sliced
- 2 to 3 Tbsp cooking oil
- 1 Tbsp flour
- 1 large onion chopped
- 1 bell pepper chopped
- 4 c water
- 2 c long grain rice
- 2 Tbsp Cajun seasoning salt
- Cajun salt to season meat
- 1 rib celery chopped
- 2 cloves garlic optional
Directions
- Season meat generously
- In a 4 to 5 quart heavy pot heat oil
- Brown meat on all sides and remove
- Meat can be cut from bone or cut into smaller servings if desired
