Lowell Inn Crescent Rolls

Ingredients

  • 34 c warm water
  • 2 pkg RapidRise active dry yeast
  • 4 c Gold Medal flour
  • 12 c sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 12 c soft shortening

Directions

  1. In a bowl dissolve yeast in water plus 1 teaspoon sugar Mix ingredients
  2. Add rest of flour until smooth
  3. Cover
  4. Let rise in a warm place until double 1 12 hours
  5. Divide
  6. Shape Let rise until double 1 hour
  7. Brush with butter
  8. Bake in oven at 400 for 12 to 15 minutes until rich golden brown
  9. Makes 32 rolls
