LynnS Lionel Cake

Ingredients

• 1 c oatmeal
• 12 c shortening
• 1 14 c boiling water
• 1 c brown sugar
• 1 c white sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 eggs
• 1 12 c flour
• 12 tsp salt
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp baking soda

Directions

1. Mix first 3 ingredients together and cool
2. Mix next 4 ingredients with beaters
3. Combine last 4 ingredients and add to mixture by hand
4. Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350 in a 9 x 13-inch pan
