MamaS Pecan Pie Cake Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 12 c melted margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 12 c dark brown sugar packed
  • 1 12 c white Karo syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 to 2 c chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Mix margarine cake mix and 1 egg together
  2. Reserve 23 cup of this mixture for topping and pat remainder in 9 x 13-inch pan Bake at 350 for 15 minutes
  3. Mix brown sugar Karo syrup and eggs vanilla reserved 23 cup of cake mixture and chopped nuts Pour over partially baked cake
  4. Return to oven at 375
  5. Bake until cake tests done
  6. Cool
  7. Cut into small squares
