MamaS Rolls

Ingredients

  • 6 to 6 12 c flour
  • 12 c sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 12 c butter-flavor Crisco
  • 1 egg
  • 2 pkg dry yeast

Directions

  1. In a large bowl combine 2 14 cups flour salt sugar yeast and Crisco
  2. On low speed of the mixer add 2 cups of hot water 120 to 130 and add the egg
  3. Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes
  4. With mixer beat in 1 or 2 cups of additional flour
  5. If using dough hooks change to them to add the remainder of the flour to make a smooth dough
  6. If mixing by hand add the remainder of the flour with a wooden spoon
  7. Turn onto a floured surface and knead into a smooth and elastic dough
  8. Shape into a ball and turn into a large greased bowl
  9. Cover and set in a warm place to rise for about two hours
  10. Punch down the dough
  11. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight or at least 6 hours
