Mandel Brot With Chocolate ChipsServes 20
Ingredients
- 3 c flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 c plus 1 Tbsp oil
- 1 c sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 c chopped pecans
- 4 oz chocolate chips
- cinnamon and sugar for top
Directions
- Heat oven to 375
- Grease 2 baking sheets
- Mix flour baking powder and salt in medium bowl
- Beat oil sugar and eggs in large bowl
- Gradually add 2 cups flour mixture beating constantly Fold in pecans and chocolate chips
- Add rest of flour and mix well
- Lightly flour hands
- Divide dough in four pieces and shape each piece into flat loaves about 2 inches wide and 34 inch high Sprinkle generously with cinnamon and sugar
- Bake 20 minutes Cut each loaf diagonally in 12-inch slices
- Turn slices cut side up and bake until toasted about 15 minutes more
