Maple-Nut Chiffon Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 14 c cake flour
  • 34 c white sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 34 c brown sugar
  • 12 c oil
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 34 c cold water
  • 2 tsp maple flavoring
  • 1 c 8 egg whites
  • 12 tsp cream of tartar

Directions

  1. Sift together flour sugar baking powder and salt into small mixing bowl and add brown sugar
  2. Make a well in center in this order add oil egg yolks water and flavoring
  3. Beat until satin smooth
  4. Set aside
