Mary ES Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients

  • 1 12 c white sugar
  • 12 c milk or light cream
  • 2 Tbsp cocoa
  • 1 Tbsp Karo syrup
  • 18 tsp salt
  • 1 rounded Tbsp butter
  • 1 12 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Cook the first 5 ingredients to soft ball stage in skillet Remove from heat let cool slightly
  2. Beat in butter and vanilla Continue beating until fudge is quite cool and holds its shape Pour into buttered pan
  3. Let harden and then cut into squares
