MccallS Best Chocolate Loaf

Ingredients

• 1 c boiling water
• 2 sq unsweetened chocolate
• 2 c sifted plain flour
• 14 tsp salt
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 2 eggs
• 12 c soft butter
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 12 tsp almond flavoring
• 1 34 c light brown sugar
• 12 c sour cream

Directions

1. In small bowl pour boiling water over chocolate
2. Let cool Preheat oven to 325
3. Grease and flour a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan Sift flour with salt and soda
4. Set aside
5. In large bowl of electric mixer at high speed beat butter vanilla sugar and eggs until light and fluffy about 5 minutes
6. At low speed beat in flour mixture alternate with sour cream beginning and ending with flour mixture
7. Beat in chocolate mixture just until combined
