Meal-In-One Soup
Ingredients
- chuck roast or stew meat
- 1 large onion
- 2 c chopped celery
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 lb mixed vegetables
- 12 c barley
- 12 small can tomato paste
- 1 large can tomato sauce
- large elbow macaroni noodles optional
Directions
- Cut meat into small pieces
- Add onion celery salt pepper and a little water
- Cook until tender
- Take meat out of liquid and let cool
- Remove any bones
- To the liquid add vegetables barley tomato paste and tomato sauce
- Put meat back into liquid and cook on simmer until vegetables and barley are tender
- Add water as needed
- Cook and drain macaroni noodles and add to soup while simmering
