Meat Cabbage Casserole
Ingredients
- 2 lb shredded cabbage
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 12 tsp sugar
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 lb meat loaf mixture or ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp flour
- 1 egg
- pepper to taste
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 c milk
Directions
- Melt 3 tablespoons of butter or margarine in a large Dutch oven
- Add cabbage
- Cook stirring until wilted
- Add the soy sauce
- Cover and cook for 15 minutes
- Add the 12 teaspoon salt and sugar
- Mix together by hand the meat loaf mixture or ground beef 1 teaspoon salt the flour egg pepper chopped onion and milk
- In a 2-quart baking dish alternate layers of cabbage meat cabbage meat and ending with cabbage
- Dot with butter Bake at 350 for 1 hour uncovered
