Meat Loaf With Sweet And Sour Sauce

Ingredients

• 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
• 14 c brown sugar packed
• 14 c vinegar
• 1 tsp prepared mustard
• 1 egg slightly beaten
• 1 onion minced
• 14 c crackers crushed
• 2 lb ground beef
• 1 12 tsp salt
• 14 tsp pepper

Directions

1. In a saucepan mix tomato sauce with brown sugar vinegar and mustard
2. Stir until sugar is dissolved
3. Combine egg onion crackers meat salt pepper and 12 cup of the tomato sauce mixture
4. Mix lightly but thoroughly and shape into loaf
5. Put into baking dish and pour remainder of tomato sauce over mixture over it
6. Bake in 350 oven for 1 hour basting occasionally Note
7. This recipe may be cut in half and it works fine
