Meringue Cake
Ingredients
- 1 c cake flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 18 tsp salt
- 4 large eggs separated
- 1 12 c sugar divided
- 2 tsp vanilla divided
- 12 c shortening
- 5 Tbsp milk
- 34 c pecans finely chopped
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325 Sift flour baking powder and salt Beat egg whites to soft peaks Gradually beat in 1 cup sugar Beat until stiff Fold in 1 teaspoon vanilla Set aside
