Methodist Slaw

Ingredients
- 3 medium heads shredded cabbage
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 4 c sugar
- 2 c vinegar
- 1 c water
- 3 green peppers
- 1 Tbsp mustard seed
- 1 bunch celery and leaves chopped
- 1 tsp celery seed
- 1 c shredded carrots
Directions
- Add cabbage and salt and let stand for 2 hours
- Boil sugar vinegar and water for 5 minutes and let cool
- Squeeze cabbage dry and add remaining ingredients
- Mix and refrigerate
- Will keep for 6 weeks
