Mexican Cornbread With Meat
Ingredients
- 1 c milk
- 1 12 c cornmeal
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp soda
- 13 c oil
- 1 can cream-style corn
- 2 eggs
- 1 12 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion
- 1 12 c grated cheese
- 2 or 3 jalapeno peppers
Directions
- Brown ground beef and drain
- Chop onion and peppers
- Mix first seven ingredients and pour half into greased 9 x 9-inch pan or iron skillet
- Layer meat then onion and peppers and then cheese
- Pour remainder of batter on top
- Bake at 350 for 50 or 60 minutes or until top is golden brown
