Microwave Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • 4 qt unsalted popped corn
  • 1 c packed brown sugar
  • 12 c butter
  • 14 c light corn syrup
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 12 tsp soda

Directions

  1. Divide popped corn between two 4-quart glass bowls
  2. Combine brown sugar butter syrup and salt in a 2-quart bowl
  3. Microwave on High for 3 to 3 12 minutes or until mixture boils stirring once
  4. Microwave at 30 power for 4 minutes
  5. Stir in soda
  6. Pour half of the syrup evenly over each bowl
  7. Sprinkle 1 cup of peanuts over each bowl
  8. Stir until it lightly coats corn Microwave at 50 power one bowl at a time for 6 to 7 minutes stirring twice
