Microwave Swiss Steak
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 14 tsp black pepper
- 14 tsp dry mustard
- 1 12 to 2 lb boneless round steak cut in serving pieces
- 1 medium onions sliced
- 14 c packed brown sugar
- 12 c ketchup
Directions
- Place butter in 2-quart baking dish 12 x 7-inch
- Microwave on Roast 1 minute or until melted
- Combine flour salt pepper and mustard in plate
- Coat meat in seasoned flour
- Arrange in melted butter
- Cover with glass lid or plastic wrap
- Microwave on High for 5 minutes or until no longer pink
- Turn meat over place onion rings on top
- Combine ketchup and brown sugar
- Cover and microwave for 20 minutes on Simmer
- Then rearrange meat cover and continue cooking on Simmer for 20 to 25 minutes or until fork tender
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving
