Microwave Swiss Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 14 tsp black pepper
  • 14 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 12 to 2 lb boneless round steak cut in serving pieces
  • 1 medium onions sliced
  • 14 c packed brown sugar
  • 12 c ketchup

Directions

  1. Place butter in 2-quart baking dish 12 x 7-inch
  2. Microwave on Roast 1 minute or until melted
  3. Combine flour salt pepper and mustard in plate
  4. Coat meat in seasoned flour
  5. Arrange in melted butter
  6. Cover with glass lid or plastic wrap
  7. Microwave on High for 5 minutes or until no longer pink
  8. Turn meat over place onion rings on top
  9. Combine ketchup and brown sugar
  10. Cover and microwave for 20 minutes on Simmer
  11. Then rearrange meat cover and continue cooking on Simmer for 20 to 25 minutes or until fork tender
  12. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving
