Mildred BooeS Corn Bread

Ingredients
- 12 c shortening
- 2 c flour
- 2 c cornmeal yellow
- 8 level tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 12 scant c sugar
- 1 c dry milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 c water
Directions
- Heat oven to 375 to 400
- Put shortening in a large cake pan and melt it
- Put in oven to melt
- In a mixing bowl mix all the remaining ingredients by hand
- Beat about a minute then pour into pan and bake in hot oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean about 25 to 30 minutes
