Mississippi Mud Cake

Ingredients
- 2 c sugar
- 1 c shortening
- 4 whole eggs
- 1 12 c plain flour
- 13 c cocoa
- 14 tsp salt
- 3 tsp vanilla
- 1 c chopped nuts
- 12 pkg miniature marshmallows
Directions
- Cream sugar and shortening
- Add eggs and beat by hand
- Sift flour cocoa and salt
- Add to creamed mixture and mix well
- Add vanilla and nuts
- Pour into greased and floured pan
- Bake for 35 minutes at 300
- Remove from oven and pour marshmallows over top Return to oven for 10 minutes at 350
- Cool cake for 1 hour then add icing
