Mixed Nut Crunch

Ingredients

  • 4 qt popped corn
  • 2 c dry roasted nuts
  • 1 14 c sugar
  • 23 c butter
  • 23 c dark corn syrup
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla
  • 12 tsp baking soda

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 250
  2. In large roasting pan spread the popped corn and the dry roasted nuts
  3. In heavy saucepan combine the sugar butter and dark corn syrup
  4. Cook until mixture boils Boil for 5 minutes without stirring
  5. Remove from heat
  6. Stir in the vanilla and baking soda
  7. Pour mixture over corn and nuts stir to coat
  8. Bake uncovered at 250 for 1 hour
  9. Stir occasionally
  10. Cool break apart
  11. Store in covered container
