Mixed Vegetable Mornay
Ingredients
- 1 pkg frozen mixed vegetables
- 14 c cold water
- 1 tsp salt
- 14 tsp garlic salt
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 14 c butter
- 13 c flour
- 2 c liquid from vegetables
- 2 c half and half
- 14 c Parmesan cheese
- pinch of nutmeg
- pinch of thyme
- 18 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp salt
Directions
- Steam vegetables in covered pan using 14 cup water
- Cook until tender and drain
- Save liquid for mornay sauce
- Add salts and butter to vegetables mixing gently
- Set aside
- Prepare mornay sauce with 14 cup butter 13 cup flour and 2 cups liquid from vegetables
- Add 2 cups half and half Parmesan cheese nutmeg thyme garlic salt and salt
- Cook like any white sauce Spread half of the vegetables in casserole add half of sauce and spread remaining vegetables and top with sauce
- Cover top with bread crumbs drizzle entire surface with 14 stick butter melted
- Bake 30 minutes at 350
