Mixed Vegetable Mornay

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg frozen mixed vegetables
  • 14 c cold water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 14 tsp garlic salt
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 14 c butter
  • 13 c flour
  • 2 c liquid from vegetables
  • 2 c half and half
  • 14 c Parmesan cheese
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • pinch of thyme
  • 18 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

  1. Steam vegetables in covered pan using 14 cup water
  2. Cook until tender and drain
  3. Save liquid for mornay sauce
  4. Add salts and butter to vegetables mixing gently
  5. Set aside
  6. Prepare mornay sauce with 14 cup butter 13 cup flour and 2 cups liquid from vegetables
  7. Add 2 cups half and half Parmesan cheese nutmeg thyme garlic salt and salt
  8. Cook like any white sauce Spread half of the vegetables in casserole add half of sauce and spread remaining vegetables and top with sauce
  9. Cover top with bread crumbs drizzle entire surface with 14 stick butter melted
  10. Bake 30 minutes at 350
