Mocha Brownies
Ingredients
- 1 c butter
- 1 12 c sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 eggs beaten
- 3 sq 3 oz unsweetened chocolate melted and cooled
- 2 Tbsp instant coffee powder
- 1 12 c sifted cake flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 c chopped walnuts
- sifted confectioners sugar
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- Beat in vanilla
- Add beaten eggs in thirds beating well after each addition
- Blend chocolate and instant coffee powder together Add to creamed mixture
- Add sifted dry ingredients in thirds mixing well after each addition
- Stir in walnuts
- Turn batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan
- Bake at 350 for 40 minutes Cool
- Sprinkle with confectioners sugar
- Cut into squares
