Mocha Brownies

Ingredients

  • 5 sq 5 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 13 c butter or margarine
  • 23 c flour
  • 12 tsp baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 14 c sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 14 c graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 c coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts
  • Coffee Glaze

Directions

  1. In a small heavy saucepan melt chocolate with butter or margarine over low heat cool
  2. Combine next 3 ingredients set aside
  3. Beat eggs and sugar at medium speed until light
  4. Beat in chocolate mixture and vanilla extract
  5. Stir in flour mixture cracker crumbs and nuts
  6. Pour into a greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan Bake in a preheated 350 oven 40 to 45 minutes
  7. Glaze while hot When cold cut into squares using a sharp knife
  8. Makes 25 brownies
