Mock Baklava
Ingredients
- 1 box club crackers
- 1 bag sliced almonds
- 1 c butter 2 sticks
- 23 c sugar
Directions
- Line 2 cookie sheets with foil place crackers on cookie sheet in single layer
- Cover with layer of almonds
- Heat oven to 300
- On stove melt butter and sugar bring to a boil
- On low heat cook for 3 minutes stirring constantly
- Use spoon to drizzle all over crackers
- Bake in oven for 15 minutes
- Be sure rack is set on on above center in oven
- Cool on counter and cut one at a time carefully
