MomS Buttermilk Biscuits

MomS Buttermilk Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 5 c flour
  • 34 c shortening
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 2 pkg yeast dissolved in 12 c warm water
  • 2 c buttermilk

Directions

  1. Combine all dry ingredients cut in shortening
  2. Add buttermilk and yeast to mixture
  3. Cover and refrigerate
  4. Will keep for 2 weeks
  5. When ready to use roll out as much dough as needed
  6. Cut into biscuit-size
  7. Bake in a greased pan at 400 for 12 minutes
