MomS Dandelion Wine
Ingredients
- 1 peck dandelion heads
- 1 gal boiling water
- 5 lb sugar
- 1 pkg yeast
- oranges lemons or pineapples
Directions
- Gather 1 peck dandelion heads
- Do not collect from an area sprayed with pesticides or herbicides
- Wash to remove bugs Combine dandelion heads with boiling water in a large container Let the flower heads steep for 24 hours
- Strain the juice
- To the juice add sugar yeast and fruit
- The amount of fruit can vary depending on the flavor you want
- Set it in a warm dark area to ferment
- Do not stir
- Keep mixture quiet for about 2 weeks
- When the mixture reaches the desired potency siphon off and filter through cheesecloth
- Refrigerate
- Its ready
