MomS Hot Clam Dip

Ingredients

  • 2 cans minced clams
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 12 green pepper
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 14 lb butter or margarine
  • dash of Tabasco
  • dash of red cayenne pepper

Directions

  1. Need a 9-inch pie plate
  2. Simmer the clams and lemon juice for 15 minutes
  3. Mince and simmer the other ingredients in the butter until soft
  4. Combine the 2 mixtures
  5. Add 12 cup Italian bread crumbs
  6. Top with crumbled Velveeta cheese or grated cheese and coat with paprika
  7. Bake in oven 20 minutes at 350
  8. Serve with Triscuits or other crackers
