Monkey Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 12 c sugar
  • 12 c packed brown sugar
  • 12 c soft butter or margarine
  • 12 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 13 c chopped nuts
  • 12 c coconut optional

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. In large bowl beat banana both sugars butter cinnamon and vanilla
  3. Beat in eggs
  4. Sift flour and baking powder add to banana mixture
  5. Add coconut and stir until well blended
  6. Spread into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan
  7. Sprinkle with nuts
  8. Bake for 25 minutes
  9. Cool and cut into bars
