Moravian Mints
Ingredients
- 2 c granulated sugar
- 1 tsp confectioners sugar
- 34 c water
- 14 tsp cream of tartar
- 12 drops peppermint extract or 3 drops oil of peppermint
Directions
- Simmer granulated sugar and water together until syrup threads from spoon
- Take from stove add confectioners sugar cream of tartar and peppermint
- Beat until creamy and drop from spoon onto wax paper
- For wintergreen flavor use wintergreen extract and pink coloring peppermint extract with green coloring and lemon extract with yellow coloring
