Mother BakerS Fruit Cake

Ingredients

• 34 lb butter
• 1 lb pecans
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 14 lb orange peel
• 1 box raisins
• 3 eggs
• 2 boxes chopped dates
• 1 lb brown sugar
• 4 c flour
• 12 lb candied pineapple
• 14 lb lemon peel
• 1 box currants
• 12 c dark syrup

Directions

1. Cream butter and brown sugar well adding well beaten eggs flour and baking powder
2. Add fruit that has been mixed with a cup of the flour
3. Let pressure come to 5 open pet cock and cook one hour
4. Close and raise to 15
