Mushroom Fingers

Ingredients

  • 3 c coarsely chopped fresh mushrooms
  • 2 Tbsp finely chopped onion
  • 4 Tbsp butter or margarine
  • salt
  • 4 Tbsp snipped parsley
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 12 slices day old bread
  • paprika

Directions

  1. Over low flame saute mushrooms and onion in butter until soft drain if necessary
  2. Add salt to taste
  3. Combine parsley and sour cream add mushrooms and onion
  4. Chill several hours or overnight
  5. Trim crust from bread cut into 3 strips or into quarters
  6. Spread with mushroom mixture dust with paprika
  7. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes
  8. Makes 3 to 4 dozen appetizers
