Mushroom Medley

Ingredients

  • 1 c frozen peas
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 c medium size fresh button mushrooms
  • 2 tsp margarine
  • salt to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare each vegetable separately to obtain right texture
  2. In saucepan cook peas until nearly done
  3. Cover and set aside
  4. Slice onion thickly
  5. Cut each slice into eight pie-shaped pieces
  6. Cook in water until done but still firm
  7. Add margarine cover and set aside
  8. Wash mushrooms
  9. Stand on end and cut into quarters
  10. Boil hard until done
  11. Strain mushrooms and add to onions
  12. Add peas and enough juice that mixture can be simmered
  13. Add salt
  14. Simmer and taste
  15. Serve hot
